Quote For Today

I've been thinking about this quote for a few days. It seems to help me feel more comfortable with myself, though I'm not sure how to explain that. I have grand ideas of what I'd like to accomplish in my life. But then I look at my little boy, feel this baby turning and turning inside of me, and have the same feeling wash over me. Sometimes the feeling is strong and sometimes it is hardly noticeable, but it is always there giving me the reassurance that I am in the right place, doing the right thing. I am grateful for that feeling. I count myself lucky that the majority of my day is spent driving matchbox cars around a wooden train track or reading the same train book time and time again or discovering how exciting laundry can be when it's done with a tiny person who can fit inside the dryer. I had no idea filling my days with such simple things could bring such happiness. Not to discount my grand ideas or the adventures that I want to take, but right here right now, this is my present. The place where my heart and soul want to be the most.

Conclusion: Simplicity. I really believe one of life's greatest sources of happiness is simplicity.
